Institute of Servant Leadership and Stewardship

Institute of Servant Leadership and Stewardship or ISLaS is the volunteer arm of Caritas which currently mobilizes around 3,000 volunteers within the Archdiocese of Manila.

With Jesus as a model of Servant Leadership, parish-based leaders and volunteers undergo continuous training and values formation that mold them to become committed servant leaders.

Volunteerism, the backbone of servant leadership, enables us to efficiently and effectively implement various social services and development programs for poor families in their communities.

Vision:

Institute for Christ-Centered Servant Leaders and Stewards

Mission:

To transform volunteers and urban partners into servant leaders in the light of PCP II and Catholic Social Teachings.

Prayers according to theme (education, poverty, disaster)

O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you,
I love you and will a lively sorrow for my sins. I offer you this poor
heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.
Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions; give
me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your
blessings on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Within your
heart I place my every care. In every need let me come to you with
humble trust saying, Heart of Jesus, help me. Amen.

Daily offering: O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I
offer you all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for
all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my
sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in
particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of
Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and
empty Yourself out upon us.
(Repeat three times) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from
the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!
(Recite one Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostle’s Creed)
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of
Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for
our sins and those of the whole world.
(Repeat 10 times) For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have
mercy on us and on the whole world.
(Repeat three times) Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal
One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of
compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase
Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor
become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to
Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

O Holy St Jude! Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in
miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor for all
who invoke thee, special patron in time of need; to thee I have
recourse from the depth of my heart, and humbly beg thee, to
whom God hath given such great power, to come to my assistance;
help me now in my urgent need and grant my earnest petition. I will
never forget thy graces and the favors thou dost obtain for me and I
will do my utmost to spread devotion to thee. Amen.

St. Jude, pray for us and all who honor thee and invoke thy aid.
(Say Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be thrice.)

Virgin Mother of God, Mary Immaculate, we unite ourselves to you
under your title of picture of Blessed Mother Our Lady of the
Miraculous Medal. May this medal be for each one of us a sure sign
of your motherly affection for us and a constant reminder of our filial
duties towards you. While wearing it, may we be blessed by your
loving protection and preserved in the grace of your Son. Most
powerful Virgin, Mother of our Savior, keep us close to you every
moment of our lives so that like you we may live and act according
to the teaching and example of your Son. Obtain for us, your
children, the grace of a happy death so that in union with you we
may enjoy the happiness of heaven forever. Amen.
O, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to
you.

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I
do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am
without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You, I am in
darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much, and always
be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place
of consolation for You, a nest of love.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a
close, and life passes; death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is
necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the
way and for that, I need You.
It is getting late and death approaches, I fear the darkness, the
temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need
You, my Jesus, in this night of exile!
Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all it’s dangers. I need You.
Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the
bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.
Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to
remain united to You, if not by communion, at least by grace and love.
Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I
do not merit it, but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You!
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your
Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and
ask no other reward but to love You more and more.
With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and
continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen
