Caritas Manila lives out and promotes the gospel values of love and justice in all its programs and services. Because every person is truly a visible image of the invisible God and a sibling of Christ, the Christian finds in every person God himself and God's absolute demand for justice and love. - Justice in the World (#34)

Internally, we uphold the values of fairness, accountability and transparency in our operations.

Fairness

This is but a natural consequence of our pursuit of love and justice. Every voice, big or small, is important. We set up avenues to make sure every contribution and opinion, big or small, is heard.

Accountability

While we make discussions participatory and frequently come to collective decisions, our staff are keenly aware of their areas of responsibility and are given the commensurate authority to carry them out. While we celebrate our successes, we also make sure we recognize and learn from our mistakes.

Transparency

This goes beyond financial transparency, even as we are ready—and willing--to account for every peso that our partners entrust to us on behalf of the poor. There is no “big or small” in our organization; everyone has the right to know what is going on.
