Scholarship

Spearheaded by the Educational Assistance Program, Caritas Manila provides scholarships to worthy beneficiaries coming from the poorest of the poor. Those primarily qualified belong to families with a monthly income per capita of PhP 1,000 or less.
The educational assistance and scholarship program is anchored on the parishes in Metro Manila, handled by CM volunteers and parish leaders who are trained and provided with the appropriate know-how and skills.

In Metro Manila, scholars are selected, recommended, and facilitated in the parish and the vicariate level. Scholarships are provided in the elementary, high school, college, and vocational levels. Values formation go hand-in-hand with  the  scholarship  program  as  a  requirement for CM scholars.

Last year, Caritas Manila prioritized the scaling up of its scholarship program, raising more funds and increasing the number of partner schools to secure slots for more students.
Fr. Pascual describes these scholars "scholars of the helpful. They are able to go to school because of your donations to Caritas. Caritas only facilitates. We make sure each student tries his best and maintains an acceptable average or the scholarship will go to someone else. Through donations and with the support of more schools, we hope to offer more scholarships."
Integrated Development Program

Although the immediate task is to expand and be significant in terms of quantity, Caritas Manila implements a holistic approach in terms of pursuing development and growth for its beneficiaries to go hand-in-hand with its key programs by integrating the following training and formation modules:

+ Values Formation
+ Sacramental Appreciation
+ Health and Nutrition
+ Livelihood and Skills Training
+ 3Rs (reading, writing, and arithmetic) Tutorial
+ Natural Family Planning and Responsible Parenting
