Caritas Manila

In celebration of its 28^th Anniversary, PhilCare one of the leading Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) in the country conducted a special medical mission last June  24, 2010.

The medical mission was held at PhilCare’s headquarters at the Philam Life Bldg, UN Ave, Ermita, Manila.

Making the simple event special was PhilCare’s decision to choose the children of Caritas Manila’s urban poor partners to be the beneficiaries of the mission. These children come from the poorest of the poor families of the urban poor sector in Metro Manila that are being assisted by Caritas Manila, the lead social service arm of the Church. The 100 kids that received free medical care represented six parishes under the Archdiocese of Manila. These children were provided medical check-up, laboratory examinations, even medicines.
