Caritas Segunda Mana opens new warehouse Bishop Iniguez leads Blessing

“We thank God for this blessing. And with this warehouse, we will continue with our commitment to take care of your donations and multiply God’s blessing through Segunda Mana, the donations-in-kind program that encourages us to help those in need by simply giving up what we don’t need.”This was the gist of the message delivered by Bishop Deogracias Iniguez, D.D. Bishop of Kalookan and member of Caritas Manila’s board of trustees, Mr. Francis Hugo, Amb. Leonida Vera and Board Treasurer Mrs. Rosario Villar led the blessing of Segunda Mana’s new warehouse last November 29, 2011.

“Before, we would use the old warehouse of Caritas Manila intended for other programs. But with the increasing public support for Segunda Mana, we had to invest in a new warehouse. We thank the supplier, MyBodega who gave us a generous discount for this warehouse. With the new technology, this warehouse, we can further improve our systems and procedures to take good care of the donations-in-kind being collected by Segunda Mana and prepare them for selling at the different Segunda Mana Charity Stores in Metro Manila”, explained Rev. Fr. Anton CT Pascual.

The warehouse has two floors with a combined floor space of 485 square meters according to project Engineer Herman Manangan. The warehouse will have two main sections. The first section will be for unused donated items. The second section will be for used items.
